Nautilus Intaglio provide a totally confidential service of design, plate making, printing and testing without recourse to outside agencies. In addition to this Nautilus Intaglio have strong alliances with OVD manufacturers, ink and paper making mills in order to provide a rapid bespoke service of the highest standard from client concept to ink proofs.

Specialist equipment and an experienced design team allow the company to create print ready designs for value documents, incorporating large press needs. In-house security print production uses fine vector line originations with split-duct rainbow printing. Specialising in sheet fed, short to medium run with hot foil hologram application to both register and non-register.

Offset litho printing is used for fine line background workings with micro registration making replication extremely difficult. Printing includes aqueous, thermographic and UV inks. Images and text can be printed in a choice of colours that fluoresce at different frequencies of ultraviolet light, providing secure covert features. Intaglio printing brings another level of security for product protection. Printing from engraved plates produces ink structures raised above the level of the substrate, easily distinguished by touch and unlike thermography, fine detail with great strength of colour. Intaglio ink can be identified as it leaves a distinct trace when it is rubbed.
